The Lay Wah clinic is located in Karen State close to the Thai border.  The four medics and 21 staff that rotate shifts there care for 150 outpatient and 12 inpatient villagers from the surrounding area.  Without power the staff has difficulty providing the necessary care at night; especially in cases of emergency or child birth.  Solbakken installed a 2-panel solar system to meet the needs of the staff and patients.
